G'day blue!

Ok, we finally have a new entrant into our hall of fame (Fame?? ). This is Dean and Tash's 96 Charade. Take a look. It's neat, not overdone, but still enough to set them apart from the Camry driving plebes on the road. Dean wrote the story (aren't we nice for letting him write his own)...so read on and enjoy....Here is my 1996 two door CS Sports Charade. I purchased my Blue Beastie from

the dealer with a 1.3L 5 speed. The first things to get bolted on were the Raceline alloys. Although they are only 14", I would like to see anyone fit anything bigger
under the guards (as it scrubs now even with the inner lip rolled). The windows were tinted and the factory rear wing was added. At this point the car looked OK but it sat like a 4WD. So off to get a set of springs I went, but only to have a few problems with even getting them, as the companies (who shall remain nameless) would only lower the front 35mm and wouldn't touch the arse end.( Pedders
Now with money supplies running short, what can come next? But this choice was made for me as a large bump found my stock exhaust system. So now a larger

system with 2" all the way through, Lukey muffler and 2.5" dump pipe tip hits the note. Now that the exhaust was louder than the stock stereo - it had to go! It was replaced with a Pioneer DEH-323 CD player, Pioneer splits in the front doors (slight mods to stock speaker mounts were made to house the new & improved speakers). More bass was needed! Two Pioneer 12" sub woofers were added to the back in a custom box powered by an Alpine

F255, 4 channel amp & with this it punched out a reasonable 123db average (with 6.5" two way Pioneer speakers yet to be added to the parcel tray). Yet with all this I still wanted to look a little different, so anything that could be screwed off was painted Cyan Blue. What about under the bonnet area I hear you cry? The Rocker cover and other parts were removed and buffed, or removed altogether and with the help of a K&N air filter the engine bay was completed.Future mods include turbocharging (this will be done before the 4 cylinder Nats) and other bolt on bits & pieces.

Note: DaiHard would like to thank Tash for all of her hard work in making sure that this story made it to us in time for the update :)

Thanks Tash
